Dear people who moan about being “friend-zoned”:

Xander Harris is your GOD, and his response to knowing Buffy doesn’t want to date him? Is to BE A GOOD FRIEND. She loves Angel. Angel loves her. Xander wishes Buffy loved him that way, but she doesn’t, and he accepts that (even though it can be occasionally painful), and he does what a FRIEND should do and tries to help her be happy. 

You know what Xander got from being Buffy’s friend? Proof that he’s someone people care about and trust and love. Not just Willow, who’s been his friend forever, but NEW people. People who stood by him in his worst moments. People who cheered his great moments. People who called him on bullshit and helped with his injuries and were THERE for him. That friend-zone you’re sniveling about? That shit gets you FAMILY. So maybe try to live up to that before you whine about how much it sucks.
